Complete Heart Block due to Acute

چکیده
CHEST, 71: 5, MAY, 1977 a major complication of this procedure, is reported in 10 to 50 percent of the cases.4’5 7 8 Although the indirect method of inferior vena cava interruption using an umbrella filter has resulted in significant reduction of morbidity and mortality, it is not free of complications. Because of the risks associated with different methods of inferior vena cava interruption, this procedure is advisable only when the diagnosis is conclusively established and when the previously mentioned indications are present. Our experience and that of others suggests that perfusion lung scan is not a very reliable test for diagnosing pulmonary emboli and that pulmonary emboli should be demonstrated arteriographically before interruption of the inferior vena cava is performed for the prevention of recurrent pulmonary emboli.

Hyperkalemia-induced complete heart block
Background: Potassium, as an extracellular ion, plays an important role in the electrophysiologic function of the myocardium and any change in extracellular concentration of this ion might have a marked impression upon myocyte electrophysiologic gain. High serum potassium levels are thought to impair pulse conduction in Purkinje fibers and ventricles more than that in the Atrio...

Background: The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become a global crisis, as the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic. Complete heart block, resulting from an abnormal heart rhythm, is a rare presentation of this infection, which can be life-threatening due to possible progression into ventricular tachycardia. Case Presentation: We report a c...

Thirty patients (63%) had acute disorders of the conduction system: 19 patients presented isolated complete left bundle branch block (LBBB), 9 patients isolated complete atrioventricular block (CAVB), and 2 patients both conduction disorders, with a total of 21 LBBBs and 11 CAVBs. A definite pacemaker was i...

Background: Neonatal lupus erythematosus is an uncommon disease. Congenital complete heart block (CCHB) usually happens in neonates with maternal systemic lupus erythematosus. The most prevalent presentation of CCHBis bradycardiathatcanbediagnosed through an electrocardiogram. Case report: Here in, we present the case of a full-term male neonate with gestational age of 37 weeks and birth weigh...

متن کاملArtificial pacing in management of complete heart block complicating acute myocaerdial infarction.
Complete heart block complicates approximately 6 to 8% of cases of acute myocardial infarction and is associated with a high mortality (Julian et al., 1964 ; Meltzer, 1967 ; Siddons and Sowton, 1967). In some patients death may be due to coexistent severe myocardial damage rather than to a complication of heart block itself, but in others it can be attributed to ventricular asystole or severe b...
